Paigton Zoo - A new simplified recycling system pioneered by a south Devon trade waste company
The time saving system is already a big hit with TQ Recycling customer, Paignton Zoo Environmental Park. The Environmental park expects the Omni bin to help it almost double its recycling rate next year. The Zoo will now be able to collect all cardboard, paper, plastics including clingfilm, styrofoam and bubble wrap, aluminium and steel cans in the same container. Only glass needs to be stored separately. With far less recyclable material being accidentally thrown away or wrongly stored, the Zoo expects to double the amount of recycled material that was otherwise sent to landfill Collected recycling is taken to the firm’s high tech plant in Kingsbridge where it is separated using laser technology. The company is able to accept almost all recyclable material, including a huge array of plastics normally sent to landfill.
“We believe the easier it is for people to recycle, the more they will do it. That’s why we promise our customers that if they bin it, we’ll sort it for them. " |
