Company History
TQ Recycling was formed in July 2007 as a partnership between David Newman, Stephen Tooke and Nicholas, Judith, Philip and Jonathan Rowell.
The company combines the sales and marketing skills of Newman and Tooke with the huge experience the Rowell family has of running vehicle fleets, logistics and their knowledge of being in the waste industry for a significant period of time.
Nicholas Rowell Haulage business history –
Founded in 1973 the business was originally based in Salcombe.
After many years of growth, in 1987 the business moved to Torr Quarry where we they occupy a large yard, two workshops, stocks of building materials both for collection and delivery to our customers and a weighbridge. Now running 24 lorries and employ 38 staff. Both sons are involved in the running of the business.
Key to the success of TQ Recycling is the land and buildings which the Rowell family had available to help TQ Recycling’s expansion.
In 2008 Patrick Robinson made an Investment into TQ Recycling seeing the opportunity for a growing business.
In January 2010 JadenFinch Ltd a Jersey based Private equity house invested a considerable amount of money in TQ Recycling and we formed the new Limited company TQ Recycling Ltd.
We are delighted to have JadenFinch on board as investors and co Directors. Their vision and enthusiasm and financial standing combined with our passion and enthusiasm for Recycling will make a winning team.
