TQ Recycling Material Recovery Facility

We are currently building this state of the art facility which will enable us to process up to 32000 tonnes of mixed recyclable materials per year.

This is great news for businesses, local authorities and also other trade waste companies within the region. They will all be able to use the facility in addition to the waste which we collect ourselves from our clients.

This new high tech facility will use the latest in Near Infrared Scanning and Optical Sorting to process in particular, more plastics than any other plant within the region.

The plant is able to process loose segregated materials, bagged single or twin stream materials, baled materials and co mingled recyclables.

The plant will process –

Cardboard
Papers – all types of papers
Plastics – all types
Aluminium and steel cans

Glass will always be collected by us segregated from all other materials but will not go through the plant for processing. We deliver our glass in bulk to a reprocessing plant for colour segregation and then crushing before being shipped to the glass mills for making into new container glass.

We would welcome enquiries from other Trade or Municipal Waste collectors regarding the processing of your materials.

TQ Recycling will be able to process to a higher standard than other regional plants which will lead top a greater value in the recovered materials.

The plant will be open for business during July 2010.
